Gee where are all those big, bad-ass, DEA Agents?

Oh, I know, the Gestapo thugs, are too busy kicking in doors in the middle of the night of innocent 90 year old grandmothers and gunning them down.

Probably pee their pants if they went up against any "real" bad guys.

As far as profitiablity, it is because it is illegal.

And if you GROW it in the U.S., you don’t have to risk getting caught at the border.

And U.S. National Parks are large, uninhabited and largely unpatrolled. You can’t just grow that stuff in a corn field by the side of the highway (see “illegal”, above).

Well you can see a 6 inch rock in your garden from a picture at least a year old if you live in one of the areas that gets photoed frequently. In my boring neighborhood where nothing exciting happens the Google pictures are missing 4 year old buildings. National parks are generally in frequent photo spots, and it’s not like these plantations are setup like cornfields in nice easily found rows. They plant a few here and there, and pot plants tend to get a color that’s pretty similar to the leafy desert plants they’ll be competing with in these areas. It’s not as easy as you think.

Sounds like we need some “weed” killer, or Agent Orange.

So why doesn’t some law enforcement agengy fly over these areas and just drop a few bombs on the areas? Wouldn’t have to use ground troops, just bomb it with somesort of a fire/high explosive bomb, everything would go swoosh, even the gangsters. We wouldn’t have to bother with them.

The Sierra Club was once a stalwart non-partisan defender of the planet and enemy of pollution....

Wrong! The Sierra Club, PETA, Greenpeace, etc., have always been Communist fronts! Their high-sounding purposes and slogans were always a lie. They care not about violence or the death of a hiker, they may even encourage it to scare people away.

Where is immigration and Homeland Security on this?

Would you impose the same lack of medical care on tobacco smokers, heavy drinkers and the morbidly obese?

If so, I’m with you 100%.

Gee where are all those big, bad-ass, DEA Agents?

Probably raiding medical marijuana distribution centers in the same western states, voter will and states' rights be damned.

Mexicans my a%s! I recently visited my good friend in northern california (near Point Arena)He took me on a hike through the forest for several miles. We hiked up a beautiful stream about every 100 yards or so there were dams built of rocks and plastic sheeting with 12 volt pumps and plastic pipe running into the redwoodtrees where the pot growers have hanging baskets for their plants.Old car battries were everywere all the sites we saw looked abandoned trash, old clothes, cans, unbelivable.Later when we went into town he started pointing out to me all the local hippie kids with brand new four wheel drive trucks. He says that the local economy is very dependent on pot sales.

As things are, probably it will take the death of an innocent hiker to convince Washington to do what’s necessary and to do it soon.

Sorry, I don’t even believe this regime would do anything, much less the incoming one.

Yeah because we don’t have enough problems with brush fires in the desert southwest as it is, we need people to drop fire bombs.

The gangsters probably aren’t even there most of the time. That’s part of why they call it weed, it grows good with little to no human assistance.

From the article:

“As things are, probably it will take the death of an innocent hiker to convince Washington to do what’s necessary and to do it soon.”

Are you kidding me? How many American citizens have died at the hands of the criminal invaders..one more isn’t going to make a difference to the powers that be.

“Would you impose the same lack of medical care on tobacco smokers, heavy drinkers and the morbidly obese?”

In a heartbeat. We have to get away from this whole notion that we are “entitled” to “free” or heavily subsidized health care. The biggest reason that the Big 3 automakers are failing is health insurance for current and retired UAW workers. At closing time, go stand outside one of their few plants still operating and take a look at the labor force walking out. Out of shape, overweight, smoking, headed for the KFC buffet. You want to pick up the health care tab for that demographic?

As for healthcare in general, people need to take care of themselves and bear the costs. In fact, if they bear the costs, they WILL take better care of themselves. We all have car insurance, but we don’t turn in the bill for a routine oil change to the insurance company. Health care should be NO different. In fact, if people are picky about the costs of care, they can use the free market to drive down prices and bring in efficiency.

Yep, smokers reap what they sow. They can smoke all they want, and pay all they can for the result.

Might as well put it to good use. Spray it on the drug warriors!
