Todd Palin should be the first to see that she’ll need to study, etc., for 2012, and arrange as much of that as he can. She will now have as much money and as many connections as she needs to get her up to speed, and when she comes out the other side (”My Fair Lady” comes to mind), watch out Obama!
I like the “My Fair Lady” comparison. If Palin gets three or four Henry Higgins figures, and drills over and over again, wow. Sarah the Barracuda will grow into a very big fish indeed.
I love Sarah and have been a huge supporter of hers but after watching some of her interviews she is going to need a speech coach and much more. We can’t afford to lose another election because the media will tear someone apart at a weak seam.
Sarah has to find a way to rebuild her reputation before she can be considered a serious contender. The media will be salivating to take another bite of her.
1) Bond needs to go. Palin didn’t put together the losing minority vote, your loser of a candidate John McCain did. She just stopped it from being a landslide.
2) Romney has NO chance at the socons or Huckabee never would have come out to place second in the primaries. keep dreaming Romney-ites. Nor does Huck stand a chance at them now with palin in the race.
3) If the economy is still bad in 2012, and it may well be, Romney’s background is hardly a qualifier. Furthermore that would mean it would be a “change” election and doesn’t matter if the candidate as a degree on the subject. Look at Obama as proof. So if the voters want change in ‘12, I’d rather change be the conservative woman with good instincts then the RINO with friends like Kathleen Parker.
4) If Republican voters choose another loser RINO, they deserve to lose. That means Romney, Huck, Crist, Pawlenty and Daniels.
Absolutely. And the thing is, as we both know, she already IS smart, she just needs to sound smarter. She just has some articulation habits that need jolting. She sure has been a bright spot in all of this, practically taken the sting out of the loss for me, especially when we see that she is the first VP candidate ever to be talked about right after an election (that I know of).
“Todd Palin should be the first to see that shell need to study, etc., for 2012, and arrange as much of that as he can. She will now have as much money and as many connections as she needs to get her up to speed, and when she comes out the other side (My Fair Lady comes to mind), watch out Obama!”
Now, who would we suggest she have as her tutors?
I can think of a couple:
Fred Thompson on legal issues, the Constitution and Federalism, and on publishing clear, concise position papers.
Dick Cheney on Defense (he was SecDef after all), foreign policy, the Dark Side of the Force (muuhahahahahhahaha!)and on debate.. remember how well he disassembled trial lawyer Edwards to the ground?
Who could we get for economics?
Who also for speechmaking?(assuming she needs much on this, I don’t really think so)
She is already GREAT on governmental ethics and reform issues. Don’t think she needs anyone on energy issues, either. Environment is pretty well covered there, too.
The guys I named also have advantages in that they are both hunters and shooters like Palin, though Cheney and Thompson are upland bird guys.
