There was a fatal flaw in Romney's Campaign, His natural
Constituency was too small and it was diluted with Mc Cain
on board.

Think about it, without his Personal Wealth to finance his
campaign, (and his mormon connections) I doubt he would have lasted a month in the primary race, since McCain and
Huckabee were Much better at Campaigning. Outside New England Republicans (endangered species) who would support him in the primaries

I think ‘08 was Romney’s best chance. He had a clear field, especially with Rudy hiding in Florida like a damn idiot (which he is), and still Romney couldn’t put it away and let another RINO beat him. 2012 would be much harder for him.
