Never were very many in the DFW area. Even before the election there were very few yard signs and only a few bumper stickers, the bulk of which seemed to be on the stereotypical hippymobile with rock band decals in the rear window, blue smoke out the tailpipe, radio blasting and the driver talking on the cell phone. And of course a few Volvo yuppiemobiles with the driver sipping a Starbucks double latte.
Seriously, while about 30% of local voters went for “the one,” by and large they kept a pretty low profile.
The biggest shock was when the local fishwrap (Fort Worth Star-Telegram) endorsed Obama. Everyone knew the FWST’s management bias, the surprise was that they would give up a big portion of their remaining subscribers along with what little credibility they still have with the public.
Thanks for your comments.
I have to take my trophy bride in for an outpatient procedure.
So I will be back probably after noon to respond to your
very interesting responses.
Thank you.
They were instructed by the DNC to take them down. The Obamabots obey.
They are mostly gone. My next-door-neighbors finally took their hideous sign down Tuesday. Before they did, I told my husband that if they didn’t take it down soon, I was going to snatch it in the middle of the night.
I am still pissed at them for being so gullible. But I know it was all about “CHANGE”. They voted for Pres. Bush in 2004 and regret it. They blame him for EVERYTHING!
Here in the East Bay of San Francisco Bay Area I have absolutely noticed the disappearance of all things OBAMA! I thought it was very strange and very noticeable that immediately BEFORE the election the vast number of OBAMA bumper stickers I would usually see in my daily commute was drastically reduced.
Just yesterday, I paid extra attention going to and from work and I counted ZERO OBAMA stickers. It was so bad here in the Belly of the Beast before the election that it seemed like every other car had a Messiah sticker.
Yes...I have noticed a HUGE difference!
Call it buyers remorse or whatever..I can definitely tell the difference.
I’m gonna give these kool-aid drinkers a feww more days and then it’s time for a midnight run. Way too many still up in Denver.
The stickers are still on the cars in my area, but they’ll probably stay until they rot off because liberals apply bumper stickers directly to the car body. They only realize after the fact that removing the stickers damages the paint. Typical liberals—never learn the Law of Unintended Consequences.
I noticed where I live that signs for candidates for various office of both parties came down earlier than usual once the election was over.
Quite a few still up in my area (Northern MI) but it is ok because when I take my dog for a walk, he likes to pee on them.
I noticed someone had placed a sign on the corner of my yard.
When inspecting what sign it was, I discovered it was a YES ON 8 sign, so I left it there.
On Wednesday when I went out to get it for future use, it was gone.
There were some homosexual footprints next to it.
OK, I made up the last part...
They’re all gone in my area, and I’m damn grateful for it.
It’s interesting you bring that up. I was at Kroger yesterday and I witnessed a black lady tearing her Obama sticker from her bumper. I thought that interesting.
Happy Birthday! Maybe they’ll remove the one from the white house for a belated birthday gift unto all Americans. :-)
There never were any Obama signs or bumper stickers in my area. ;-)
Gone since election day, as required by law.
The buttons (especially among those 18-25 years old, who should be sterilized before they breed) and the bumper magnets remain, but the signs are gone, per Mercer County law.
