Rove has thought it out more accurately than you. Sarah's house is in the suburbs of Anchorage. She spends most of her time in the office in Anchorage. She commutes to Juneau only when necessary to conduct state business. The Governor's mansion is in Juneau, but it is under renovation and Sarah does not live there. If anyone is going to spend time with Sarah, either at home or in the office, it will be in Anchorage.
One should get their facts straight before criticizing someone else who actually does.
What Palin needs is someone like the late Lee Atwater - yes, I know he had his flaws and was the inspiration for negative campaigning - but I tell you, if he was around there would be no Obama Presidency and there would not be the nonsense spread about Palin that there was.

Actually, Wasilla is about fifty miles noth of Anchorage. It's a fair commute by car, and pretty tough in winter.
I know where Sarah Palin lives. I also know that Rove’s remark was a snarky comment meant to suggest that Sarah needs “handling.” Well, we saw how well that worked in the last campaign. What Sarah needs is an organizer and that’s best done from Washington.
