When they started shutting down military bases, downsizing the forces and enacting firearm registry in my country, Canada, I also got the feeling that "Something of historic proportions is happening"

The ultimate enigma to me is: We read his words, we look into his history, such as is available, thinking that they will give us insight into his thinking. But we’re not permitted to take him at his word nor criticize his actions nor to object on any of those grounds.
