You fail or succeed on your ability not on a handout from someone else.
If the US auto industry can not produce a decent vehicle for a decent price then guess what? Time to pay the piper.
Let then file bankruptcy and hope thy are smart enough to come out the otherside better for it. If not screw them....

Bailout of credit companies that gave the wrong people credit
Bailout of the housing industry that built houses people realy did not need at prices they could not really afford
Oh and hows thjat working so far? Seen any signs of improvement anywhere?
Now they want to bail out the Auto Makers.
With what? The US Government is itself Bankrupt. It has no money. It OWES over 9 TRILLION dollars in debt.
