This is good news for Californians.

If Strickland loses, the Dems will be only 1 vote away from a 2/3rds majority in the state senate, which is needed to raise taxes and pass budgets. With only a 1 vote margin, it will be much easier for the Dems and Ahnold to pluck off one RINO to vote their way. It is much harder to get two converts.

Is he D or R? I’m not familiar with this race.

If the race remains close, the only hope for Jackson will be the provisional ballots, of which 6,800 remain uncounted in Santa Barbara County, 10,000 in Ventura County, and 2,000 in Los Angeles County

If they aren't watched closely, all the votes counted by democrats will be for Jackson ala Franken.

Democrats count votes until they win, then stop.

“Provisional ballots” are typically votes cast by morons who can’t figure out how to register and vote like normal people. In other words, they are going to hugely favor the Democrat. The final tally will boil down to how many Republican allies and trusted volunteers Strickland can muster to prevent the rats from stealing the election by counting the votes of felons, illegal aliens, and fictional cartoon characters (ACORN).

“Of the three counties, Santa Barbara was the only one to favor Jackson.”

Yep. Many, many thanks to the 10s of thousands of imbeciles at UCSB who vote for higher taxes and more & more regulation...then move 2,000 miles away from the disaster they created after they graduate.

We should force them to stay here so they have to live with the crap they vote Yes on.

Hannah Beth Jackson (very Liberal Democrat) is being challenged by Tony Strickland (Republican running as “Anonymous” party affiliation). Strickland ran on a strange platform of giving CA more “green” jobs & pushing Hannah Beth (Taxin’) Jackson off the Santa Barbara Pier.

Hannah ran on a platform of “Tony Strickland is George Bush”.

All the know-it-alls had Jackson as a sure winner. But Strickland seems to have her pinned & the ref is counting...

It’s been a weird match up.

And Strickland wanted to come out to our gun club to speak. He was only stopped by the USFS (long story, and not deliberate). Go Tony!

Hey, good news, this is my district, (Ventura County) I voted for Strickland a conservative against Jackson, an uber-liberal. Strickland’s wife, also a conservative Republican won in the state assembly.

It has been good to have Audra and Tony Strickland in the California legislature. They are both voices of sobriety in a legislature that spends like drunken sailors or grunts just in from the field on Tu Do street. Heavens knows, we need ‘em.

I’m sure you’re aware of it, but even though Fran Florez has not conceded, Danny Gilmore appears to have beaten her by 1400 votes in District 30. This is for the Assembly. Does that matter, as this would be an R pickup?
