To: Chairman of the Bard

Al has to refuse for two reasons...1)pay cut. The millions of he makes from being a snake oil salesman touting global warming is just too good to stop doing and 2) he would actually have to be accountable for what he does and have to answer for his idiocy.

I think you've identified it. Gore refuses to debate any of his Global Warming nonsense, and on the public payroll he would eventually have to in some form.

Hey, if we could get the internal combustion engine to run on all the snake oil Algore’s sold, combined with filling our tires with the hot air he expels, we wouldn’t need to drill at all!
