no no...he’d take the job and later announce that he solved global warming! the world can now rejoice
In 2001 Gore was hired as a consultant by Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who you may recall is also a big Zer0 supporter.
Schmidt had 3.5 million options, which from 2005 to 2007 were valued between $900 million to as much as $2 billion.
How many options do you think Gore was granted in 2001?
I’d guess 10,000 to 100,000, meaning $30 million to $70 million at the low end, up to $300 million to $700 million at the 100,000 mark.
I’d guess that Al Gore is a very wealthy man.
That's pretty doubtful, judging by his editorial last weekend in the NY Times.

A quote to show what Al's still thinking:
"The world authority on the climate crisis, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, after 20 years of detailed study and four unanimous reports, now says that the evidence is unequivocal. To those who are still tempted to dismiss the increasingly urgent alarms from scientists around the world, ignore the melting of the north polar ice cap and all of the other apocalyptic warnings from the planet itself, and who roll their eyes at the very mention of this existential threat to the future of the human species, please wake up. Our children and grandchildren need you to hear and recognize the truth of our situation, before it is too late."
He describes a five-point plan. Points 1-4 aren't that outlandish. Point 5 is the most controversial.
