all this talk misses the point of group self identity

the rest of the world gets it, but whites here don't because they have been beat down not to even though they have been under whithering political attack for 2 generations now

folks either understand values and responsibility or they choose not to and vote accordingly

we were told when I was young that when more blacks went middle class that they would get more conservative, they didn't

we are now told the same about poorer latinos who vote like blacks, they won't either.

this is an issue even larger than just the US and is happening in Europe, Australia and New Zealand too now in varying degrees

I have no answers but if whites continue fractured like they are and minorities are not then conservatism will continue to struggle

and no amount of pandering or choosing non white candidates will help

I'm not saying pandering. It won't work! If conservatives won't stand by their beliefs, no one will listen to them. If you don't have integrity and aren't honest, no one will buy what you're selling. And what the GOP has been selling is at odds with its declared aims. No wonder voters are rightly turned off.

Seems to me that the more, and the harder the GOP “reaches out” to the various voting blocs that AREN’T their base [and ignores the base they have], the more their arms get chopped off. Yep, two-thirds of Hispanics voted for the Madhi. BUT something like 20% of the GOP vote from 2004 stayed home. Does the phrase ‘bird in the hand’ ring any bells?

We can and do win minority votes on social issues but minorities will always trade those issues for handouts!

The RockyFellers screwed over Republicans by pushing amnesty for illegals, which pissed off the middle class, and after the push back against it, the Hispanics!

We need to let the east-coast RockyFellers go try to form their own party and concentrate on winning back the vast middle class voters.

Reagan won by using the social issues and cutting taxes to the middle class. Yes, the upper class got some tax cuts too, but it wasn't stressed as the main issue.

We need to put the RATS back in their box with the welfare leeches, queer agenda, illegals, Gang-Green and their stupid drilling bans, the gun grabbers, and the teachers union.

The issues we win on...

Welfare reform

Pro- gun

School vouchers

pro-family anti-queer agenda

law and order

Strong defense

domestic oil drilling

Maybe they wouldn’t stay in the liberal parties if the conservative parties didn’t put up with the racists in their own party - all in the name of “free speech,” of course. :(
