My middle-school homeroom teacher needed a volunteer for the job of hall monitor—remember the orange `Sam Brown’ belt and badge and the officious kids who told you to stop running in the hall?
No one volunteered so, since my name started with an `A’ I suspect, she `volunteered’ me. I was given the date, time and place of the organizational meeting. I simply didn’t attend and that’s the last I heard of it.
Nobody go, civil disobedience, we all hang together or we all hang separately
