You are exactly right. She must dispel all the rumors currently floating around. It is apparent that the MaCain team muzzled her, and that is an unforgivable error in judgment by McCain. She has time to develop a style that can draw millions to her.

Never, never give up.

re: The Sarah nay sayers need to know their role and shut their mouth.)))

I've just done a quick review of those who are hemmin-hawin' and they mostly joined FR in 11/04.

And they all sounded kinda alike.

Are we moonbats now? People can’t be better than others at something? Should we give Sarah a “Participant” ribbon for her policy depth? It’s absurd to suggest that because some of us think that Jindal has a better handle on the rhetorical game (whereas Palin has him beat in the natural energy and charisma department) than she does that we’re tearing him down. The GOP will be the party of ideas when its members can disagree in a civil manner without throwing a tantrum when their horse gets criticized. I’d gladly support Sarah Palin for president. She’s not my first choice. The HORROR.

I like Jindal, don’t get me wrong but many if not most freepers seem to have jumoped knee jerk out of the gate this month over the 2-3 fairly known percieved as non white GOP names

i find that suspect....quite

Steele is a moderate...plain and simple

I have seen folks here.....some of the same folks actually...who waxed on and on about Powell, Condi and Watts...and look where that went...

man, whites are so lost....so beaten down.

I thought we don’t trust the polls here...

actually I did more or less and got beat up to hell and back for a month prior to the repudiation last week, not to say they are a gold standard but the professional ones are fairly accurate

Minorities want a liberal or better yet someone percieved as attacking the old white power structure here. Proably very true..I have lived in California all my life and I can tell you the white population is definetly becoming the minority as the hispanic and asian communities grow.

I think most minorites have never thought the GOP or any Republican President has addressed there issues, and I truly think as Minority populations grow in the USA the less and less chance the USA has in voting in another Conservative white Republican President.

no, it’s the echo chmaber here about non white candidates more than any other

one of whom is thin and the other who is a moderate

there are no well known serious black politicians...none

and a few latinos but amnesty has screwed them up too

odd thing about Sarah, her largest most reliable bloc of support according to Rush yesterday is married Christian white males

the very group who would normally not be too keen on a woman as candidate for anything beyond bedmate or mother of the kids

hence, Palin must be pretty strong to attract the most conservative bloc in our nation....guys like me.

Yes, in the alternative definition of populism, it worked because the masses got together for the right cause and reasons. That definition is completely contrary, though, to what populism has become. Again, Bill O’Reilly. Whether it gets passed again is another story.

I would like to hear her ideas, and I hope she fully educates herself on all the issues surrounding illegal immigration before she does make a plan public. There does need to be immigration reform, but absolutely no amnesty. I think many politicians don’t understand at all the big picture of illegal immigration and other border issues and I wish they all would educate themselves before opening their mouth. Many get their information from MSM and have no idea what they are talking about.

We have many New Immigrants that do no assimilate to American Life..Heck they won’t even make the English Language the Language of the Land...

I agree with you. I don’t think she has what it takes to lead the GOP. She’s a conservative. We have 4 years. Now would be the time for her to splinter off and lead a true conservative party to victory. Why would she want to stay anyway, after the way she has been treated?

Here is the Problem, unless we can also find minorities to speak about Traditional Values in a Public Forum..Sarah Palin does not stand a chance...Why because she is Conservative she is white and she is Christian...

And to many minorities who are liberals and Gays and Hollywood she is like the White Devil....

White Conservative Christians are becoming the true Minority in the USA, where will we be in 2012? who knows maybe raptured before then...Wouldn’t that be nice!

I do not see the problem you do. I believe the very qualities (outside of race because I believe it does not matter) and her ability to communicate them will be the things that draw people too her after 4 years of the Obamanation.

I’m just asking, here, but what makes you think Sarah Palin is a conservative?

In her own words, she is a “maverick, just like John McCain.”

Amen. I am from MS and worked for the state emergency management at the time of Katrina. I saw first hand what a great leader Gov. Barbour is. He and wife Marsha worked tirelessly to get us back on track. I can’t leave out his staff...they worked just as hard as we did.

That’s the difference in taking care of your own and waiting on the government to do something then complaining when it doesn’t go your way.

I’m getting the impression that many of the “FReepers” who keep calling for Jindal are simply using him to take Palin down (especially the newbies, which seem to be gravitating to these Palin threads).

Jindal is great. He sounds great as a conservative when interviewed and he was great during Hurricane Ike. I live in Texas, but evacuated to north of New Orleans. During the drive, all I heard on the radio was Jindal going through every single town on the Louisiana coast and virtually telling EACH person what to do, regarding evacuation, and how serious the storm was. He was AMAZING...and heck, the hurricane was predicted to hit over 150 miles from his state...unreal.

At the same time, our “Republican” governor Rick Perry was getting his hair styled (as he does 5 times a day). He was barely in the news, and, had we had Jindal, dozens of Texans on the coast would still be alive today, as they would have understood the need to pack up and get out.

Now, having said all of that, it remains that JINDAL IS YOUNG, and that will kill him. He is DEFINITELY skilled, but he is very young. In 2012 Obama will run circles around him on experience. He can try the same on Sarah, but at least she matches his age...not to mention that we love her. Jindal would be great as Sarah’s VP, and then run for the top spot in 2020 (when he’s still young)...that would be great.

But to the newbies and those that only post once in a while (and I wonder where you post the rest of the time, lol), we have OUR candidate...and that is Sarah. We tried your candidate, you know, the one the MSM insisted we needed to win...and we just got crushed.

We WILL nominate OUR CANDIDATE in 2012...so go back to DU.
