You are right on. Unions are going to be the death of our country, and the auto industry will be the first to go. It is sad to see how much of our country actually relies on the auto industry. No plants producing cars, means no parts manufacturers, no truckers hauling cars, no shipping of cars, massive unemployment, small businesses that rely on auto workers spending their money, will fail. All because some selfish union people demand to be paid OUTRAGEOUS wages to do low skilled jobs. I'm sorry but a welder does not deserve anywhere close to 35-40 an hour.

If the US is going to bail out the auto industry, then the UAW must be dismantled. What is most amazing is that union workers don't realize that the union is not on their side. The union, like our government, is on their own side, to pad their pockets.

Our government is just a big union. Inept and wasteful. We need a tax revolt and force Washington to downsize or we are done, no matter who is in office.

Amen! They served their purpose, now get rid of them. I am so tired of the union mentality, it is actually the Obama voter’s mentality if you think about it.
