This article could hardly be more biased and misleading.

And what's even worse in my opinion that several Freepers on this thread have fallen for the writer's anti-conservative slant -- a story line that makes it seem as if the cruise were an evil conspiracy launched entirely by Romney and his minions.

So here we have the spectacle of Freepers bashing an activity that features Victor Davis Hansen and Mark Steyn as a speakers!

(Will the irony ever cease?)

Exactly, lets pick the worthy guest speakers and place them in the lifeboats prior to sinking the entire ship.

"Losers, at least in this election cycle, apparently go to the Caribbean."
This cruise was planned for months ago.

The ads for it first appeared in National Review, well, a *long* time ago. It's also a fairly regular event.

This cruise, the 21st hosted by the National Review, mixes leisure and politics, but Fowler said there are no panels about John McCain's running mate.

That's encouraging.

Yep. I really wanted to go, since Mark Steyn is supposed to be there.

Steele for Chair, Newt for vice Chair, and Thompson for M.C. of all fund raisers.

I can live with that, but NO way would Newt’s ego allow him to be Vice Chair

Former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson, left, and his family, walk off the Holland America Line cruise ship docked at the San Juan port, in Puerto Rico, Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008. Thompson, who ran a short-lived bid for the GOP nomination, joined about 700 National Review magazine subscribers on a weeklong cruise through the Caribbean, who hope to revive their party after last week's drubbing at the polls. Gov. Palin has brains, and is not a traitor like Myth Romney.

Traitor Mitt Romney's knives still have the coppery smell of Gov.Palin's childrens' blood on them.
