Thanks, Peter, for reminding me again.
I was telling some friends Sunday evening that the world may have a rude awakening coming. You can be France and Italy and Japan when you have a USA to keep the peace and defend the status quo. When the British Empire died we were there to pick up the pieces. We went from Pax Britannic to Pax Americana, but when Pax Romanus ended there was no one to take up the mantle and the known world descended into chaos, violence and 400 years of Darkness. Enjoy the future world.
Thoroughly depressing, especially the last few paragraphs. Hopefully new leaders will rise up to lead us out of this downward spiral before it is too late.

There will be open rebellion, and when police officers are shot for illegally entering households and then refuse to do so, Obama’s civilian brigade will be shot trying to do the same thing.
