I’m sure you’re right that she was cremated, but it still just bothers me. Honoring, remembering, and laying to rest the grandmother who helped raise me would be a priority for me.

Yeah, and that is kinda morbid about your uncle. I will say that when my MIL passed away, the funeral home had all kinds of various urns, one of them being a tiny urn that was on a necklace that someone could wear. Not for me.

My uncle died and was cremated on the Left Coast, and later one of his kids drove the ashes down here. His grandkids would give us a running update - "Grandpa is in Nevada... Grandpa's in Texas, now!"

Needless to say, that part of our family is a bit weird! LOL (Still love them, though!)
