He's 100% right. Soldiers don't fight for freedom, or to protect ordinary people... /s
No barf alert on this?

Farmers, not to mention janitors and dish-washers, are more important than lawyers OR doctors.
What nonsense!

I would have thought I’d hear, “being a rapist is the noblest profession in America, some 500 rapists who gathered here for the annual rapists and perverts convention heard from one of the nation’s most famed rapists,” before I heard trial lawyers try to pull of this whopper!

There was a society of men among us, bred up from their
youth in the art of proving by words multiplied for the
purpose, that white is black and black is white,
according as they are paid.

Gerry is FOS.
What do lawyers produce? Obstacles? BS? Bad laws? Bad Presidents?
The bulk of Americans can do without all of the above.

Satan visited a lawyer's office and made him an offer. "I can arrange some things for you, " the devil said. "I'll increase your income five-fold. Your partners will love you; your clients will respect you; you'll have four months of vacation each year and live to be a hundred. All I require in return is that your wife's soul, your children's souls, and their children's souls burn in Hell for eternity."
The lawyer thought for a moment and then asked: "So: what's the catch?"

Gerry you are a douche bag! When is the last time you saved lives on a daily basis? All you do is extort money from people. B.S. on the rights part. All fairness stops at the court house door. All you care about it the money. Look at your adds.

Imagine a country where you get arrested while registering for permission to protest. How do we differentiate the importance of our laws that protect people and the lawyers that represent the people?

"There is no other profession in America that fights for freedom, that fights for what America is about, that fights for justice for ordinary people."We shouldn't call them attorneys. Let's call them Supermans....

Time for a new national holiday to commemorate these brave warriors!
National Trial Lawyer Appreciation Day!
Or maybe instead of creating a new day, just replace Veterans’ Day with National Trial Lawyer Appreciation Day...gag.

Ironic, the only people to have anything good to say about lawyers are the lawyers themselves. Says it all.
To: DungeonMaster
It's the "more" in "more important" (or "most" in "most important"?) that triggers my knee-jerk.
To carry my argument right over the cliff's edge, imagine a country where the lawyer who was going to defend you died of starvation while fighting off sepsis because there were no farmers and janitors.
