Great email from Alan Keyes. I got a chance to hear him speak in 1994 and even then you could tell that many in the audience squirmed in their seats. He might be a lousy candidate but he can sure put the prevailing wisdom in a rhetorical crucible and burn away everything but the truth. For some it clearly makes them uncomfortable.
Clearly.
If a truth-teller is a “lousy candidate” these days it says more about the hearers than the truth-teller.
But, I remain firm in my belief that there is still a mighty moral plurality in this country who care about the truth.
If we can unify and focus that power, the republic can still be saved.
Doing that is the only hope for saving the country.
