With the full force of the U.S. Government, he can do whatever he wants. There isn't a lot anyone can do to stop it. He who lives by the sword, etc...
Fear him, yes. But hate him, or wish ill on him (even if he wishes ill on some of us, as he may)? No...
If he reaches out, if he turns out to be a tolerant man (one of the touted strengths of liberalism), it is a mercy for which we can be thankful. If OTOH he is all about power, himself, and his friends, it is the worse for us. Either way, I believe the best response is clearly stated in Scripture:
"Kindness, patience, gentleness, self-control, against such things there is no law" (Gal. 5:22). Also "Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you."
Nowhere is that a more powerful witness than amidst tyranny.
I realize this is not going to go over well in this forum, but it is the best response I can glean from Scripture.
checked out my Pray for Obama threads?
but he has done not one thing nor said one thing that can allay our fears....he has surrounded himself with similar tyrants and crooks....
what do you expect of us?......
do not go gently into that good night.....rage one....pray...but rage on as well..
