The Republican leadership (not those who got us here but new ones) need to review the methodology for elections. No Independents allowed to vote in our primaries, one must be registered 30 days in advance of an election to vote. We can avoid future MCains and other Rino's.
Do a new contract with America - if we ever take control, rule according to principles and not pork. One goal must be to get out of the housing business. Fannie and Freddie must earn their way to 10% real capital and then break them into 10 companies each and them off - and not to BoA or Citi.

It’s not infighting it’s a PURGE. We don’t need RINO’s we need solid conservatives. The tent ain’t that big.

In a recent local interview with Frank Beckmann, he did not rule out a run for MI Governor.

No we don’t.
Like you said.
The Democrat’s started running more conservative candidates and they won. We take back those conservatice districts and we’re in the majority without needing RINO’s to get us there.
The only people that have been alienated by this party the last four years have been conservatives.

On the topic of elections, how about a thorough investigation of ACORN and mandatory photo I.D’s to vote in this country. ACORN won it for Obama.

As the Republican Party begins to retool, rebuild and return to the "less government is best government" conservatism that makes America work... Federalism. Tastes great, less filling.

In case anyone missed it; read “A Veterans Day Lesson for the GOP” by James R. Stewart, on Free Thinker website. Great read!

what about doing away with ‘Winner Take All’ primaries...
Texas, known to be a red state, at least until the illegals get the right to vote, did not have a chance to vote in this election.
McCain would not have been the top choice...

"Lets not destroy the party with infighting."
"Weve been bleeding voters for the last 4 years."
"Its a terrible idea to alienate our candidates on the margin." The republican party destroyed itself, or has put itself on the verge, by not allowing infighting.
Or outfighting, or any controversy at all; just note the way that conservative/alternate ideas were treated by the party during the 2008 pre-election tent show.
You won't get any new or rediscovered ideas by nodding heads and sending out requests for more funding.
If we bled voters for four years it only means we had the edge in 2002 and screwed it up.
The same screw ups are in charge of the party today as yesterday,
a little infighting seems very much in order.
"Alienate our candidates on the margin"?
McCain, Arnold and their ilk have alienated the ten or so percent who didn't bother to vote.
They alienated those of us who did vote (again) without being given a choice.
Their only friends are on the other side of the aisle and you can bet that they'll fall in line now that there is no "R" in the White House.
On the other hand, they are probably still stunned at the fact that a back woods state governor stole their fire and made it a close race.
As long as they are already stunned, why not hope for others to step in and rewire the damn thing?

The question is how the Dems are pulling in seat with moderates but keeping them ‘on the reservation’. Our moderates constantly screw the party. Their moderates are staying quiet and playing along.

The D's are perfectly willing to drop the hammer on their moderates. Say what you want about them, but the D's are hell of a lot better at managing their internal party politics than the R's are.

We also need some system that allows voters to check to make sure who they voted for was counted correctly. It amazes me how we are supposed to blindly trust the system we now have.

Our current voting system is based on the “honor system”. How insane is that?!
