Connecticut begins issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples today, a historic milestone that gays and lesbians will celebrate and social conservatives will grieve.

BALTIMORE - America’s Roman Catholic bishops, long one of the leading political forces against abortion, vowed on Tuesday to accept no compromise for the sake of unity until there is legal protection for the unborn.
Tomorrow-—you can marry your horse!
Not this Catholic...but yes, they sure did. I hate this state. Any good red states, small town...Norman Rockwellesque that I can move to?

BHUBANESWAR: A five-year-old girl was married to a dog at a village near here on Wednesday evening. The bride groom went through the motions with a

You're not too far from the truth. It's only a matter of time now.

More evidence that it’s time to get the government out of the marriage business.
How come we didn't get to vote on this?
The fall of Rome was historic too.

How nice: California and Connecticut have so much in common! Along with their attempts to redefine marriage, they share a history of earthquakes, of course California’s history is much more familiar to us. But, God doesn’t care about history (He writes it!)—He does care about us and whether or not we follow His commands.
I’d recommend the remaining true believers in California and Connecticut move ASAP. His will cannot be evaded! If not an earthquake, then perhaps a replay of Sodom and Gomorrah?
Legal recognition of marriage is a wedge issue that is being used to undermine the social fabric of our society. We need to replace "marriage" in the red states with a completely separate package of contracts. Since the liberals want to redefine marriage, we need to respond by replacing the wedding license with a package of contracts that constitutes a mutual will, mutual sharing of retirement accounts, hospital visition, and whatever else used to go along as the legal ramifications of marriage.
Churches could still do real weddings, but they would have no legal significance beyond the contract package that would be signed at the same time, and the red states should drop all reference to marital status in their laws. The significance of marriage would be in front of God, and that far more important aspect of marriage would become safe. The result would be that four activist judges in California or in CT would no longer have any potential to impose their agenda on the people of states that disagree. My guess? The libs would lose interest in this whole game if they had no potential to force their will on other states.
That is truly f***ed up.
Teh-RAY-zuh Heinz is already ahead of the curve on that one!
This just isn’t a social issue. There is real money involved. Federal and state pensions, social security, Medicare, etc. use marriage to allocate benefits. We are talking about major amounts of money if marriage is redefined to include same sex marriage.
I believe there was a vote to have a constitutional convention, it failed.
I agree
Giving up is usually the best stragegy.
'Cause you would've messed it up, ya bigot.
Now sit there and do as your told, the enlightened will call the shots, thank you very much.
