Unless the Constitution party replaces the GOP like the GOP replaced the Whigs, prepare yourself for 60 years of irrelevancy.

See the Libertarian Party for another example of that.


It's funny you mention the Whigs. I was just considering exactly their fate as applied to the useless and despised Republican Party of today. I believe that since the upper echelons of the Republican hierarchy has shown and stated that they have no use for "conservative" Constitution-clinging types, those people (who stayed home by the millions in the recent coup election) should indeed leave from whence they are not welcome, and head to the Constitution Party, or the LP.

In today’s environment, I just don’t see that it would be possible to overtake a major party. Which is why at the moment, I still believe that the best option is to restore the conservative base of the GOP.
