Maybe they could build a Catholic college that teaches the Catholic teaching on life while they're all together in one place? They will need Catholics who know it to carry through these plans.

Six months? Why didn’t they take this kind of stand EVERY DAY since 1973?

The American Church has been moving left for decades. The last 6 months is nothing in comparison.

Excommunication is the answer!

Obama is not Catholic.
They'd do better excommunicating all the pro-abortion/pro-homosexual so-called "Catholics" in Congress.
Won't happen, of course.

Bye bye tax exempt status.

I really hate this excuse. A church has every right to preach what it believes! Like it or not, some politicians are going to disagree. So what? Is a church supposed to keep silent about what it sees as evil? They may as well all close if that's the case.

Too much rendering to Caesar going on in the Church. Time to speak the TRUTH and let the chips fall where they may.

It's not an excuse, it's a promise of life under Comrade Zero's Brave New Bootheel. Also, get ready for the Ministry of Journalism to do hit pieces on the individual clergymen.

The pro killing/abortion politicians (as well as those who voted for ANY dimocrat) have excommunicated themselves from the Catholic Church already.

Catholics didn’t vote for Obama. CINOs voted for Obama.

I guess you didn't see this list during the election.

Over 100 Bishops Have Spoken Out on Priority of Life Issues
Posted on October 28, 2008, 11:59 AM | Deal W. Hudson
The list of U. S. bishops who have spoken out on the priority of the life issues in this election is now over 100. The list now contains 70 individual bishops and three joint statements.
I would like to continue updating this list until the day of the election. I have tried to incorporate all the comments thus far. If I dd not get them all, I apologize. (For a few of the suggestions, I could not find a suitable link.)
Please continue using the comments section to let us know what bishop is not on this list who should be. This would include any bishop who has individually, or jointly, published a statement about this election pointing out the primacy of the life issues.
Thank you for your help.

Catholic priests and bishops never endorse a candidate. They do speak to the issues, however.

No names are never mentioned. So the tax exempt status is still solid.

It’s true that the bishops are acting 35 years too late. But most of the bishops in office 35 years ago are dead. And Joseph Bernardin, the pro-abortion, homosexual, Satanist archbishop of Chicago—there, I said it!—the best friend the abortionists ever had—is dead.

If you have EVER tried to have an intelligent discussion with a “Catholic” who votes pro-abortion because the Democrat candidate is always pro-abortion, you would know that changing those people’s mind is absolutely not going to happen. That generation simply needs to die before they will stop voting pro-abortion. They have NO CLUE that their duty to Jesus Christ takes precedence over loyalty to the Democrat Party. The Catholic Church and the Democrat Party are simply two CLUBS that they were born into, and they understand their “duty” as Democrats infinitely better than they understand anything about the Catholic Church.

The bishops who are speaking up—i.e., the bishops who matter—have been fed up for years with the older, Democrat-first-Catholic-second bishops who were in office in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. That generation grew up in Big Union, Democrat households, and were, in huge numbers, utterly corrupt.

I have watched people walk out when I was preaching—but ONLY when I preached on the duty to vote for pro-life politicians. That is one subject on which the people who just don’t “get it” are most impervious to ANY persuasion.

"A good first step would be a mass March For Life in DC. I believe two days after Obama takes office."

Wouldn't even make the msm like the yearly one with about a quarter million attending.
