This will likely be one of the several issues where “the One” and the courts will be in conflict. Drafting people for the military is fairly clearly part of the federal responsibility to provide for the common defense, but drafting people for civil service, or whatever it might be called, certainly is not. Thus it is indeed involuntary servitude of a sort which is both unconsitutional and also completely outside of the federal writ. Besides, it is likely to spread HIV and venereal disease! Maybe that’s what the “Big O” meant by spreading it around.
