Bush's pronunciation of the word nuclear is an acceptable pronunciation. LBJ pronounced it the same way. It may be a Texas thing.

That the left jumps on such things merely shows their pettiness and lack of judgment. American liberals, working on the Manhattan project, gave our nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union. Not to worry though, they pronounced the word nuclear to your satisfaction.

Only because the people at Webster's have taken to dumbing down the dictionary. Is it really too much to expect the Commander-in-Chief to use the preferred (i.e. high school graduate) pronunciation?
