“I think, that is IMO the Civilian Defense Force” as he calls it is a force he is guaranteed to be able to control. The U.S. Military is comprised of true, and great Americans with a mission. The Military consists mainly of Officers and men/women dedicated to, and sworn to defend the Constitution of the United States.

“Obama wants the “Civilian Defense Force” to manipulate at his will me thinks. He would have trouble sleeping at night knowing he couldn’t trust Constitutionally dedicated Military to thwart their oath to our Nation for his contrary will.

The Military is not for Domestic purposes. His Civies will be for Domestic purpose only. I betcha.”

Think of all of the unemployed urban youth who would benefit from this program and the resulting paycheck! I'd feel soooo secure knowing they are protecting us with guns and cool third world uniforms!

The Republicans should have used this as an issue and failed to do so. I don’t recall McCain and Palin even mentioning it. Not that it would have made all that much difference I suppose. All the dolts out there who were just mesmerized by Obama’s youth and charisma would have just put their hands over their ears and pretended not to hear. It seems to totally un American that most people wouldn’t have believed it were possible, despite Obama saying it on tape!

If such a monstrous idea is actually proposed I would hope governors and local officials will object. Even some Democrats probably find this idea abhorrent. What about police unions? Even the ones that supported Obama would have to see this as a threat to them.
