There were a 1/2 dozen states that were very close and about 1/2 dozen more that were within 10%, more than enough to get an electoral majority if we dont run another McCain.
It wasn't a landslide, but it certainly was a decisive defeat. If you tally up the electoral votes of those states in which Obama won by 10% or more, you get 262. Throw in Iowa (Obama +9) and Colorado (+6) and he's over 270 without any of the closer states at all.
Maybe. There’d need to be a detailed analysis and comparison to 2004 looking at all sorts of demographics to see how decisive it actually was.
