They’ve got enough gays there to see what they’re really all about. I saw in NYC and believe me, it ain’t pretty.

However, no one can deny the fact that: If California, one of the most liberal states, is against same-sex marriage, then what about the other states?

Guess that's change the homo lobby wasn't counting on getting, but it's change I can believe in.

The pro-gay “marriage” folks blame their loss on misinformation spread by the RCC and LDS. They also take heart that the 52.5% to 47.5% victory is lower than that of the original bill that passed a few years ago. They figure the trend is on their side.

The outpouring of support for the traditional family was impressive. One spokesman for the movement reported over one hundred thousand volunteers worked to defeat the measure, contributing time and millions of dollars. In the end, traditional marriage won with a simple majority of 52 percent.

It was an "outpouring" of blacks and latinos that voted to pass the measure, idiot.

Well I guess that would mean that Obama’s win 52% to McCain’s 46% is really a ‘trend’ for the GOP?

A win is a win. They are trying to overturn it by scaring voters and intimidating churches.
They need to be stopped.

So we’re giving the country to terrorists, banning free speech, taking guns away from the law abiding, letting in floods of illegals, packing our courts with the most radical of the left imaginable and we’re happy about some stupid, worthless gay marriage initiative?

I’m sorry - but WHO CARES?

Gay people are going to want to stay single anyway when they see how much their taxes will go up under Obama.

This is considered the only upshot of this election? Man are we screwed...

If any activist judges usurp the will of the people and try to overturn their vote, then these judges should be removed as quickly as possible. No doubt the gays will go “judge-shopping” before going to court.

The thing that probably woke the Yes on Prop. 8 people up was when they saw how quickly the gays would begin to indoctrinate kids in school......as young as kindergarten. Gays are not content to simply “get married” and let it go at that.

This is why I have to laugh when these critters ask how their getting “married” is going to hurt anyone else.

The pro-Prop 8 side pounded the message that failure to pass the amendment would mean that “gay marriage would be taught in the schools.”

“LIES!” Screams the opposition. “We have no intention of indoctrinating children in school.”

Okay, so now they’re saying that public sentiment is trending towards a softening on acceptance of said gay marriage—mostly from youth. Eventually, pro-traditional marriage people will be dying off and replaced by younger voters who will surely let them marry.

Why? Because they are already indoctrinating youth to believe gay marriage is as NORMAL as traditional marriage?

Meanwhile, proponents of polygamy, beastiality and pediphilia are waiting in the wings.

I really fear for the culture my grandchildren will live in.

Please do NOT be so CLUELESS AND IGNORANT. Defending the traditional family by protecting marriage is about defending the structure that will enable you to enjoy these other issues. Get your head out of the sand. ALL THESE ISSUES ARE LINKED!
THIS GAY MARRIAGE VOTE WAS THE SECOND-MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION BESIDES PRESIDENT.

HAD PROP 8 FAILED WE WOULD BE HURTLING TOWARDS EURO-SOCIALISM RIGHT NOW.

Be as unhappy as you want to be about Obama’s win, but the fact is that this was a shred of good news on a bleak election landscape.

“This is considered the only upshot of this election? Man are we screwed...”

If you find other good news, share it.

The infamous Ninth Circuit has zip to do with it. This is a state issue, pure and simple. But never fear, the state judges will figure out SOME legalistic contortion to use to overcome the will of the people. They've done so several times here in the "great northwestern" state of Washington. I figure that the judges in California are equally innovative.

Exactly. They can use the same argument - to deny their choice of sex partner is "discrimination".

A few weeks ago there was a conference held at the facility where I work - "The National Conference of Catholic Homosexual and Lesbian Ministers". I saw a pamphlet one the attendees had received. It was titled "I Am As God Made Me".

I was sorely tempted to ask if that applied to pedophiles also.

marriage amendment promoters nationwide can claim 30 out of 30 victories. They are undefeated. The pro-homosexual lobby, however, can claim no electoral victory. Rather it has relied on judicial ruling that impose same-sex "marriage" on states without any popular vote. Their record is now 2 out of 3.
Same is in store for the 2nd Amendment. The 1st Amendment has been worked over by so-called activist judges, and the so-called Fairness Doctrine, if reimposed, will dispense with the what's left of it.
