The mayor is doing a great job of preventing a casino from being built in South Philadelphia where it is supposed to be built because of specious complaints of SOME residents and a LEFTWING anti-casino group linked to ANTIWAR groups.

Funny how leading up to the election, the news kept a running body count of those killed in Filthydelphia (just like they did regarding the war in Iraq when it was to their advantage).

Now that Nutter is in office, this is the first I've heard of the number of those murdered.

Absolutely true.

Once upon a time, a lot of people in some states would basically
tell folks from place like California to "come on in, spend your
money, and LEAVE!!!".

Sadly, for reasons probably having to do with greed or political
correctness, this seems to be a disappearing sentiment.

I'll never forget hearing the common term applied to Massachussetts
residents that fled their "beloved home state" in order to avoid
taxes they voted for (by voting for single-party Democratic rule)
only to screw up the formerly pleasant states they land in:

Where is the outrage about these civilian deaths in our major US cities like in Iraq? Oh, I forgot. There is nothing political to be gained by complaining about the murders here.
