Register and post your question, you get more advise than you really want.
As to your question, the first question is how are you going to use it?
I have some used already but also several I bought since they instituted the background checks so I have a divided group now.
Here’s a firsthand report from a local Texas gun show:
I went Saturday to a small local gun show that is held two or three times a year. Normally, I get there mid-morning and the parking lot is 1/3 full. This time, regular parking was full by mid morning and I parked 5 or 6 rows back in the overflow parking.
There was a line to get in the door, which I had never seen before. It was hard to walk the aisles with so many people jamming them. A word of advice to those with small children: Please don’t bring your strollers!
I was just window shopping, but I saw lots of AKs and ARs going out the door, as well as bulk ammunition.
Texans take this sort of thing seriously.
I’m in the same group as you. Truly, I’m not worried about any current group (police or military) confiscating our weapons. I don’t believe they would do it. Now this National Security Defense force that Obama talked about on the campaign trail, that’s a group that I would be very afraid of.
Hey DevilDog, Happy 233rd Anniversary!
Semper Fi and happy birthday to you also!! I went to two birthday balls over the weekend. In one, the oldest Marine present was 89 years young. He has a walker, but he was up there taking the cake!
You must remember the confiscation of guns in New Orleans after Katrina. That went swiftly and was carried out by local police forces. Don’t delude yourself that local or state police are somehow friendly towards the second amendment.
“A lot of them remember the Clinton gun ban, and they think it’s going to come again, and worse.”
“Worse” will be confiscation. And they’re going to know who bought what.
Unless you’re acquiring them to *use* it’s pretty much a moot point.
Now here is an ecconomic stimulus crisis for a democrat...
...carried out by local police forces.Actually the guys that beat up the old lady in the famous ABC news video were CHiP that were imported by Nagin. They dislocated her shoulder and broke her arm if I remember the followup correctly.
^^^^^^^^^^^Remember - If it is time to bury them, it is time to dig them up!^^^^^^^^^^^
Excellent! I agree.
From my cold dead HANDS! Ditto
^^^^^^^^^^^^6A reminder that the Bill of Rights does not create any rights; the rights themselves pre-existed. I believe that they are God-given. The Bill of rights recognizes their pre-existence,and tells government, Hands off!^^^^^^^^^^^^
I totally agree.
LOL!
FYI, These guys have a great idea re: coordination and crossreferencing between sites to greater enhance our power as a united group of people.

Perhaps you need to ask yourself Why am I here? Then look around and decide whether your present position can be defended. If the answer is no, Get out!
The attitude of some of the locals that considered resisting was "You think these guys came all that way not to shoot someone?"
Oh, I already do that. I spread emails around, I post in multiple forums, and I talk.
