Sure the financial crises was always going to be bad news for Republicans, but McCain's totally insane, chaotic reaction to the crises helped to finally finish him off. All he did was blame Republicans like Chris Cox, and blame capitalism itself, then topped it off by voting for that bailout, which over 80% of Republicans were against. Had McCain heard of Barney Frank, the guy who is one of the most responsible for this mess? Instead of blamimg Cox in that speech, he'd have been far better off blaming the real culprit, Barney Frank. How clueless can anyone get? Groan!
