It started early. Bill Clinton saved Paul O'Neil's ass when O'Neil was at Alcoa. BC negotiated a deal between Marc Rich and Alcoa whereby Alcoa got raw materials at a price no other company could get. O'Neil was in Clinton's back pocket and undermined Bush at every turn.

IIRC, O'Neil was a Cheney suggestion. Thanks a lot Dick.

have you even seen a Pres who allowed so many enemies undermine him ??
Paulson appointment sealed the election for the Dems.
Novak wrote an column about Paulson being a Dem mole !
The Bush WH screwed that up too.
