Anchorage Daily News ^ | Sunday, November 9, 2008 | Sean Cockerham

Q -- Why did your campaign lose? A -- I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration, how have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration.

What gave us BHO was the media.

And shortsighted thinking that evidently they knew they could influence.

So gost2, I sense you can give us a first hand account of that brainwashing. Please continue!

President Bush asked for a guest worker program so we could keep track of those that are here and he got nothing.

He wanted full amnesty, and chain citizenship, he authorized illegals to draw Social Security, opened the borders to Mexican trucks....

Sell your BS somewhere else.

Bush was the first President to call for an official Palestinian State. He has been a stooge for the Religion of Peace. He and Condi have been a disaster for Israel.

Promised Syria that he would force Israel to give up the Golan Heights, forced Israel to give arms to Hamas so they could defend their government..........

War mongered over Iran for 7 years and, will leave office having done nothing other than restrain Israel from defending themselves.

“This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens.
We will secure the borders henceforth.
We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this.”
—Ted Kennedy, 1986

I forget did Kennedy lie about his or not? Don’t forget Reagan had only 2 years of control in both houses, and got about the same result out of them that we did.

Let’s face it, Bush is a Muslin sympathizer. He loves Moslems and Mexicans. Sarah got it right.

I am not a closed border type guy. I have learned through historical accounts and in the first hand knowledge of living near New Hampshire, inbreeding and closed market societies do not last long....lol

We live in 2008 and President Bush has not used every available tool by any means. He could have talked to O’Reilly weekly. There are ways to get around the filters and by using those ways you make the MSM smaller and more insignificant instead of much more powerful as they are now with their hand chosen candidate.

If she turns into another pass the buck its not my fault politician shes probably done and hello Mitt Romney in 2012.

Not sure about Mitt, but I'm with you in regards to her being a "Bush's Fault" politician. I've been watching her closely since her selection. Shortly after being named, one of "my guys" said; "she just ruined her political future by hitching her wagon to McCain." He may be right, especially if all she has is "Bush's fault!"

who may have "grown" into a liberal once seated on the bench.

Or she MAY HAVE "grown" into the most conservative we have ever seen, once seated.

Gun grabbing - Bush said he would sign gun control if it made it to his desk.

Please provide a link to this claim.

To me, the phrase “throwing under the bus” applies to a situation where a person is shifting the blame from themself to someone who is blameless.

She can’t throw Bush “under the bus” because in the points she raises, she is absolutely correct. It was Bush’s fault.

I am a big fan of Gov Palin but I will not be for long if in fact she makes judgments about his presidential tenure without knowing the facts involved in his decisions.

My sentiments exactly!

If the various Republican Party factions think they can rebuild the party by continuing to use Pres Bush as their scapegoat they might as well not bother, they will not succeed but only drive more Republicans to go Independent. Including me.

Amen, mountainfolk! It includes me as well.

The MSM and Dems destroyed that and Bush and Co sat back and let it happen.

Yep, along with the vast majority of his so-called supporters! Too many ate up what the Enemedia threw on the wall instead of rallying around the man.

Good things about George W. Bush:
- Kept terrorists on the run and thereby saved countless lives by his bold pre-emptive strike strategy. No terrorist attacks on our soil since 2001. Many terrorist attack plans foiled and many leading terrorists killed.
- Said NO to Kyoto.
- Tax cuts
Bad things:
- Spent money, money, money on government programs like it was going out of style.
- Amnesty for illegals.
- Bailouts
- "Compassionate" conservatism. Conservatism needs no adjectives. It is the foundation for freedom and thus provides the perfect environment for true compassion which is never government sponsored.

My only fear about this quote from Sarah is that she was just mouthing talking points from the general "Bush is bad" cultural mindset. I hope she really believes it based on facts.

He could have talked to O’Reilly weekly

Why would anyone EVER talk to BO, let alone weekly?
Bush is the POTUS and leader of the free world. He has been conducting a war with two hot battle fronts against an enemy of the free world along with the many issues of running this country and battling the enemy within.
He did not have time to hang out and have fireside chats.

IIRC, his surrogates did appear on the various "news" programs, until those appearances turned out to be nothing more than ambushes to attack them. Where were you? Where were the American people that KNEW the truth? Why did no one speak out? Why were they not fighting to correct the misinformation?

From where I sit, most of them joined the choir, instead of forming their own band to drown them out.
