IMO, we would be doomed with your approach. I agree that would be an improvement, if it were possible, but even in that unlikely event, it would not be sufficient.

Besides, did you ever hear of Plyler v. Doe? And even if the SCOTUS were to reverse itself on that decision, illegals would still come here as long as they could find jobs.

Plyler vs Doe...I did not know this.
this is sad because I would much rather go after those who seek handouts than jobs. I would much rather go after govts and illegals directly than sic the govt on American small business owners.
