We lost the Hispanic vote forever because of the LaRaza, ACORN sponsored Immigration riots/Demonstrations of the summer of 2006.
Democrats have them CONVINCED that unless they vote for them, they will ALL be deported.
“Democrats have them CONVINCED that unless they vote for them, they will ALL be deported.”
This is a perfect example of how to drive away legal Hispanics. Those of us that are here legally are not worried about being deported. We have families and we worry about the same things that most other conservatives worry about.
Hispanics vote Democratic because they feel that Conservatives do not respect them, and do not welcome them into the party, even if they have conservative views. They will continue to do so, until something is done to change things. We need to think before posting such stupid comments.
No we haven’t. I’m a young conservative Latino/Hispanic, whatever. Yes, racist organizations like La Raza have a step up from us, but we can and will catch up and beat them.
As I have said before in the forum, the way to a Latino conservative majority is through conservatism. The Latino vote favored Bush and Reagan, to some extent, because they “spoke” our language and treated us with respect. All McCain has done is pander to us and not offered any solutions, beyond sing kumba ya with Ted.
Part of the rebuilding of the conservative movement is reaching out to all conservatives, especially in the urban areas. This is where most of the Latino vote is, and when we start making real inroads there, we’ll see Cali come back home to conservatism. We’ll see the West become strongly conservative.
We lost the Hispanic vote because the GOP failed to rein in the hateful rhetoric of the extreme right. It will be many a moon before we see another Republican president thanks to the short-sightedness of the far right and the GOP leadership’s cowardice in telling them to take a hike.
