Reporting from Sacramento and Pasadena -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger today expressed hope that the California Supreme Court would overturn Proposition 8, the ballot initiative that outlawed same-sex marriage. He also predicted that the 18,000 gay and lesbian couples who have already married would not be affected by the initiative.
"It's unfortunate, obviously, but it's not the end," Schwarzenegger said in an interview on CNN this morning. "I think that we will again maybe undo that, if the court is willing to do that, and then move forward from there and again lead in that area."

On what basis would the CA Supreme Court overturn a CA Constitutional Amendment?
Can’t be done legally, without another amendment.
CA deserves everything it gets; everyone knew that Ahnold was a flipping dem., they just ignored it like they do with Impacted-Colin Powell.
They already have and as usual talking out of both sides of their mouths.
Arnold is also brain dead from excessive steroid use.
He has been worthless to the GOP and California.

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. Blatant disregard for the will of the people. This guy doesn't deserve to be in politics, much less governor of a state.
I think that is true, almost literally. I'd like to see RINOs and "establishment" do-nothing Republicans ALL kicked out, and the GOP returned to real conservatism.
Even in the face of the biggest propaganda campaign in the history of Earth, I believe a genuine conservative leader could have won this election. A leader who stood for solid conservative values, didn't back down, and aggressively took the fight to the enemy. A leader who acted like he really understood the threat posed by an Obama presidency. McCain did not embody a single one of the above qualities.
I think Rush had it right when he said that no matter who won, we still had the task ahead of rebuilding the conservative political movement, and the only silver lining in an Obama win is that it should now be easier. The "big tent" approach is a horrible idea and an abysmal failure.

My friend, with John McCain leading the way, the GOP WILL merge with the Marxist Democrat Party. Note that the Marxist Democrat Party will NOT merge with the GOP.. and McCain will relish “reaching across the aisle” and being “mavericky” with his “frends”, his own party. He won’t be “mavericky” with the Democrats.
After watching this mess for many years now, I’ve come to the conclusion that man’s government of any kind is just that - a mess.
Arnie’s positioning himself to run for Senate. Previously he said he was AGAINST gay marriage. Guess he’s trying to get the gay vote. He better think about running as a Democrat, because I don’t know any Republicans in Cali who are going to vote for him.
I am past embarrassed about this RINO being my governor. Maria cut off his balls 15 years ago and turned him into a Dumocrat.

Yes folks, your vote is REALLY important. First, Pope Nancy says its a shame the voters sent a message. Now, Arnie “Girly Man” tells the people they voted wrong and the Court knows better.
Here’s an idea, all the people just turn their money, wealth, cars, boats, whatever to the government. They’ll keep you happy with Soylent Green. You won’t have to worry about working, paying bills, or buying gas.
