To: Reagan Man

Here is the problem with that. We only have two real options on election day, the democrat or the republican. And how often are incumbent republicans or democrats defeated in the primary? Not often here in Oklahoma. And the chances of me ever voting for a democrat over a republican I don’t like are very slim.

If there were more options in elections would be good, which is why I’m in favor of going to instant run off elections as well.

As I said, the men who created this great nation thought it was incumbent upon elected officials to serve the people for a limited period of time and then they go back to their private lives.

The Founders/Framers didn't make term limits part of the Constitution for the reasons I mentioned. Also, setting aside partisanship, the two party system has worked well for over 200 years.

The real problem recently has been, that one of the two major parties has gone socialistic and the other one has lurched too far to the left. In that regard, the time may be right for the creation of a real “Conservative Party”. We shall see.
