[exactly what significant barrier is left?]
Well crafted article but it leaves one important detail missing. .The right to descent and free speech.
Race is going to become used much more of an issue in the coming years. EVERY attempt to disagree or descent with any of policies coming from obama is going to be couched as being racist talk against the President of the United States of America
When the ‘Fairness Doctrine’ is reenacted one of prime motivators will be ANY talk of descent or disagreement with the president obama will be called hate mongering and the enraptured public will be delighted to see them put out of business.
The race issue will never be put aside as long as it is an effective tool for shutting people up and keeping them in line.
I would like a check from the African progeny because my people were enslaved by Africans, up there in Egypt for generations.
I disagree. White guilt was a factor in this election, as difficult as it may be for some to believe. As long as race baitors exist, it will never be over.
BTW. You couldn’t be more wrong, “Tommy.”
“At least Latinos are not madly in love with abortion as birth control.”
I don’t have statistics at my fingertips, but that doesn’t ring true.
Well being Irish, Scottish, Cherokee, Hugoenot, possibly Jewish, and Puritan and Quaker in descent, I’ve got quite a history of injustice and struggle in my genes and don’t have much white guilt. I guarantee you I don’t have any now.
As for the blacks who get it, you are and always have been in my inner circle. I just hope some of our fellow black citizens will start to get it too.
instead of getting these

His point is that they have been empirically proven to be utterly defeated intellectually and totally illegitimate.
I, for one, am glad that racism is over. It will be nice not ever hear about it again.
You and I know what hes point is, but in the big scheme of things, does it really matter?
We are at a point in our relatively short history where ignorance and cynicism have infected the majority of the electorate and an equal amount of elitism has all but destroyed our body politic. A critical mass has been met; a tipping point from which I fear there is no safe return.
When confronted with raw emotion, logic and empirical proof will always take a back seat no matter how intellectually dishonest or illegitimate it may be.
There is only one word to sum up our situation; checkmate!
I never felt the need to have guilt for something I took no part in. I didn’t personally own a slave and my immediate family didn’t either.
Oh, wait...I just felt a twinge

nope...just gas /snicker
He's not in denial if every white person in America recites this screed to any person of any color that attempts to play the race card. I've already used this on a coworker and the silence is truly golden.
