Why this strange fixation upon Presidential "bling" anyway? Who does he have to convince? Is there some sort of fear there? Is there a legitimate challenge to his election forthcoming?

You know, that is a great observation. I can possibly see beforehand that he was "trying" to look Presidential by creating a seal. But afterwards? It's weird.

When I think of Reagan, the last thing I ever think about is whether or not he was standing around his seal "looking" presidential. Reagan WAS presidential.
