By the way, in one of life's little bits of synchronicity, I found out that BfL also stood for an organization in NAZI Germany known as "Bund fur Leibeszucht", the official government office of nudism (as a sport).
How the heck did there come to be a government office of Nudism in der Fuhrer's (1936 edition) government? Because the NAZIs went around outlawing nudism, when they got into power. In response, the different offshoots of nudism (commercial nudists, apolitical nudists, and yes, fascistic nudists) came together to organize nudism as a sport, and in Germany, sports had and/or have governmental oversight.
Apparently whole books have been written about the NAZI official office of nudism (as a sport). Funny, the things you learn when trying to decode an acronym!
