Only if they break with precedent and grow themselves a set of b*lls.

Yep, me too. Seeing it happen will be the only reality. The recent history is very poor and weak.

The obstacle to Cantor’s plan is the group of 5 to 7 RINO Senators who vote with the Dims on many issues. They give the Dims the ability to cut off debate with 60+ votes, meaning Republicans cannot stop them on key issues.

BS...no one is going to get anything done except the Dems...America has spoken or choked itself might be a better word.

The House GOP has some big decisions to make as in when the time comes will they roll over like a Seal or a Walrus? They can caucus on that. Should top their “agenda” since they have no principles of their own.

Specifically, what kind of "things"?

That would take Republican unity and conservative principle and that is why it will never happen.

Do we know yet if Republicans have 41 Senators as a result of the election? I see that Al Franken and his boys are stealing the election in Minnesota as that half-baked recount process continues. 41 is the magic number for the Senate to filibuster unwise legislation. But would be nice to have a cushion over 41 in case RINOs like Olympia Snowe of Maine join the Democrats on some issues.

I am through with the Republican party. They are NOT conservative Americans. They are politicians every bit as much as the Democratic party with both seeing their jobs as money making power struggles to enrich themselves.

This BS of losing the election then saying they are on our side to fight back is nothing but SSDD. Every election cycle we see this. They sell out then jump up and say they are in for the fight. Every election cycle they cowar to the Democrats without giving us that fight.

My money will stay in my pocket and my vote will go to someone else.

“GOP to Act as ‘Check and Balance’ Against Obama and Democrats”

Good luck! With the numbers we have??

I feel completely rudderless - who’s our national (GOP/Conservative) leader now?

I wouldn’t mind seeing Newt getting the GOP chairmanship.

Eric, old buddy -- have you been paying attention? The Dems are the majority party in the House and Senate, and they don't play stupid like you guys do Republicans hold the balance of power.
