Sarah Palin: The GOP's Best Hope in 2012
Pajamas Media ^ | Katherine Berry

McCain’s staff failed to recognize that Sarah Palin could — indeed, should — have been the GOP’s Obama. Her folksy, “hockey Mom” persona was the perfect foil to Obama’s claim that he was a relative Washington outsider, just as her from-the-hip speaking style was the mirror image of Obama’s soaring, lofty rhetoric. Where Obama sought to break the racial barrier as a harbinger of change and reform, Palin as the vice president would have broken the gender barrier, accomplishing the same goal.

Yet despite the huge surge in the GOP’s favor after naming Palin to the ticket, the McCain campaign squandered away her appeal. Some wonder now, in hindsight, whether this waste was intentional.

Given the “full-scale kneecapping of Sarah Palin” that McCain’s staff has undertaken since the election, it certainly appears they have a grudge to bear against her.

Funny how the Palin-bashing seems to be coming from those in the GOP whom she threatens the most.

You mean Romney's Staff. Romney has led this attack on a woman in his vicious, fascist, depraved, way.

Fascist Dictator Mitt Romney chortles after inflicting both Gay Marriage and, here, Socialized medicine (HillaryCARE=ROmneyCARE)
upon Massachusetts without a single vote (except his and his friends in Utah).

I love Sarah but all of this talk of her being Reagan in a skirt and the new leader of our party is a bit much for now.

We have a lot of time and thing are going to "change dramatically here soon.

Let's wait and see what shake out.

While I like and admire Gov. Sarah Palin, she does need to sharpen her claws and bone up on world affairs. I would love to see her in the White House.

Strange isn’t it that Romney being a Mormon would be pro-gay marriage when it was the Mormons that led the charge against gay marriage in CA?

I do disagree though with you regarding Palin as the best hope. In order to win the majority of votes the candidate has to appeal to more than the base. Palin does not fit that criteria no matter how much the base loves her. It’s just not reasonable to believe that she ever will unfortunately.

“Sarah Palin: The GOP’s Best Hope in 2012”

Agreed, tagline.

Republicans WILL lose the next Presidential election -- just as they did this one, unforgivably, to a one-term Senate Marxist with open and unapologetic terrorist ties -- by alienating the conservative voting base still further (assuming that's even possible, at this point) and continuing to chase after the exact same phantom Democrats and "independents" who routinely spurn us every four years.

We did everything the RINO way this year, exactly the way the "moderates" wanted it, down to the last mewled syllable of their squishy, mealy-mouthed sock puppet's last cringing campaign commercial.

The campaign "advice" offered up by these "moderate" electoral dullards is, demonstrably, worth precisely jack squat. "Money talks, bull***t walks."

This brave, remarkable woman is the conservative base's choice 2012. The RINOs -- with their losing record and open, sneering disdain for principled conservatism -- will become increasingly desperate and shrill in the weeks and months to come, in their attempts to persuade you not to stand with Sarah. Choose accordingly.

Forget about 2012, the same morons that elected the muslim will still have the right to vote, and there will be more of them.

He could easily try to go for dictator for life if he and his communist cronies feel up to the job.

Get a clue, if the election in 2006 that put that communist PELOSI as Speaker of the House wasn't enough proof, what happened on Election Day is the final verdict.

The left has steadily expanded the franchise to the people the Founders warned against and they are now unstoppable.

They will continue to vote themselves money until the Republic falls and we are overrun by the third world horde.

Get a job with the Feds, they will be the last ones still getting a paycheck after private business is bankrupted.

I don’t blame the McCain campaign for neutralizing Sarah’s impact on the election. On the contrary I think Sarah impacted the election by holding SRO rallies and not allowing Obama’s victory to get out of hand. If her credibility was diminished it was the fault of the MSM who have had Sarah in their sights everyday for the last two months. Remember most of this infighting hogwash was not known to the public until after the election. If anybody is to blame for the defeat it would be McCain and not Sarah but I will not go there either. Not that I am an apologist, but George Bush and the financial meltdown doomed any chances that the McCain campaign could have won the election. McCain was either tied with or slightly ahead of Obama before the meltdown; after the meltdown McCain’s poll numbers plummeted; John could never recover; again Sarah kept the spread between he and Obama respectable by energizing the base. It was a Democrat year and thus Obama became the benefactor of it.

It is way past time for trolls who try and sow dissension and discord within the GOP to take a hike.

Forgive me if I am incorrect here but did not the RINO wing of the GOP just get it’s collective ass handed to it on Teusday? You want to go through that again in 4 years?

Although I might add the only chance I believe we have of stopping this is taking an open stand against it. Gloves off indeed.

I think conservatives should start migrating to red states so that there will be a few remaining strong-holds where people can remain free.

I’ve been sayin it for six years but nobody believes me. You will. You will.

Secession. It’s our only hope.

The lib NE and W will collapse if we withdraw and refuse to send in our tax dollars. In just a few years the Red States will be the worlds #1 economic powerhouse and the starving lib states will beg to rejoin us and do things our way.

There is no way DC can force us to be their slaves if we would but unite. No violence necessary. United passive resistance.

The way the RINOs and "moderates" been huffing and spluttering their worthless blather over these boards, the past few days -- "Now, here's what you stupid conservatives ought to do next time," blah blah blah -- you'd think they'd actually won this last time out, rather than getting their @sses handed to them by an empty suit robotically mouthing the words "hope" and "change" over and over again ;) Crazy! Absolutely delusional!
