For those who don’t know:

Wegmans is a northeastern grocery store chain featuring stores so large and impressive that area residents will actually take visitors there for sightseeing.

ours opened a year ago. It’s about a mile from my home. For the first month or so, it was crazy and not worth going to at all! It seems to have settled down, but the key is to go during the week and avoid weekends, except in the early mornings.

He's not making that up. When my sister and brother-in-law are up visiting from Tennessee, a trip to Wegman's is understood to be on the schedule. The nearest one to Mom's house is 45 minutes away in Jamestown.

No matter -- off we go.

I am from western NY and grew up with Wegmans but moved to Krogerland Ohio my wife is an Ohio gal who doesn’t like the 8+ hour drive to go visit my family but she does love going to Wegmans when we arrive though.
