You’ve got to keep the support of the people who elected you. That means serving as Governor. Making rounds on the talk shows and jetting around the country making speeches isn’t going to leave a lot of time or energy to do the work Palin was elected to do. A good public servant will focus on that as first priority. Let the other stuff take care of itself for awhile.

Boy a short time horizon. Do you think she won’t be able to withstand the enticement? We’re in for the next 4 and even charitable books count. Positioning matters.

Do you know if she will attend the upcoming meeting,of Republican Governors, in Miami?
I am anxious to see her in the first public exposure since the election. A press conference at that time would/could be the start of something great.

From the article: Linda Mann, president of Mann Media, which books celebrities and fashionistas for TV, noted, "Her buzz is incredible. She has car-wreck appeal. You're compelled to watch, hoping she'll say the dumbest things possible. I'd propose a show combining her love of fashion and lack of brainpower - 'Project Dumbway.'

Very sad, reading that from a publishing professional. Is this a sick culture or what, "car-wreck appeal?" Since when we get this low, being "entertained" by something that naturally elicits sympathy, much less expecting to package it into a deal. What kind of people buying books conceived in such deceit and dedicated to such malice?

I don't believe at all the Governor would consent to it, had she known the underlying motive. I trust her intelligence (you don't get to a governor mansion otherwise), but I'm afraid the ruthless media and P.R. types would spin their true malevolence, sugar-coating it with sweet talks, and make her sign the deal. Let's hope she reads this forum and see through the smoke and mirrors.

" The stories against her are being "fed by an unnamed source who is allowed by the press to make ad hominem attacks on background."

This is how you know the charges have zero credibility. For FOX via O'Rielly/Carl Cameron to put this crap out is disgusting.

A sharp articulate person with a college degree and who is a governor of an important state, to not know Africa is a continent is ludicrous. And Cameron knows this.

Although Obama did think there were 58 states and 'Plugs' Biden thought president FDR gave a speech on national TV (which didn't exist at the time) in 1929 after the stock market crash, in an attempt to calm the markets.

FOX News, O'Reilly and Cameron owe Sarah an apology ASAP.

I can see a book coming out in a year or two, but no radio or tv show any time soon. Perhaps after her term in the Governor’s chair.

I think the most important thing for her to do is to shore up her appeal to women. Oprah, Regis, rachel ray, etc.

When Fox lost the right, who do they have to watch them anymore. I mean Obamamaniacs all watch MSNBC, and from now on, I am thru with Fox.

I think she should speak and appear wherever she wants to, write books, endorsements, etc. She has to keep her face in the public eye continuously. Let the goons know that she isn’t going away.

"I want him in the room but not at the top leading the team as President or Vice-President."

I think I would echo that sentiment. He could definitely bring a sizable block of supporters with him, but I don't see him on the ticket. At least not a winning ticket.

"Do you think she won’t be able to withstand the enticement?"

I think she has a different outlook on all of this, and what many would consider to be an enticement, she may view as phony hype. I get the impression that she might view all these offers for book deals and such to be an attempt by other factions of the party to "handle" her or "position" her in the way they think she should be positioned, and she has already shown that she won't put up with that. It would be trying to make her into something she isn't. She would come across as phony and unnatural.

(At least that's how I see it).

Here’s a better idea. Why doesn’t Sara just self publish? Why should the leftist literary big wigs make money off the back of a Conservative?

Publishers can line up all they want and drool over the thought of making money off her, but at this point I don't see or hear anything that says that Sarah herself is looking to make any of these deals. They can talk all they want but until she decides that's what she wants to do, then it means nothing.

I'm not saying that it's outside the realm of possibility, but I'm pretty sure her motivation has never been money (unlike the Clintons and their ilk).

I hope that she turns them all down. She should tell them, "Thanks, but no thanks, I'm too busy doing the job the people of Alaska elected me to do." It would mess with their heads. They all think that it's always about the money and the fame, and they wouldn't understand how anyone could turn down such lucrative deals. The Palin's aren't poor, and she is already famous.

Took a little longer than I expected, but the book is coming. So much for being busy doing the job the Alaskan people elected her to do.

Boy, you must really be fixated on Sarah Palin or have some sort of deep seated hatred for her. I haven't heard anything about a book, but if you say so, it must be true since you've obviously been obsessing over it and just waiting to pounce.

Go back and read my post #53 from a half a year ago. I think you'll notice that I said it wasn't completely out of the realm of possibility.

Maybe now you can give Sarah Palin a rest and focus some of your obsession on Obama or someone else like him who is actually a threat to our country and our way of life.

Sheesh!
