Sarah Palin is indeed sui generis among vice presidential candidates.

When has a vice presidential candidate actually inspired voters to back an uninspiring presidential candidate?

When has a vice presidential candidate outdrawn both presidential candidates on television and at public rallies?

When has a defeated vice presidential candidate become an instant frontrunner for the next presidential nomination, with an energetic base ready to start organizing the day after a crushing defeat, instead of being dispatched to obscurity?

If Sarah can stand up under the present wave of attacks from the anonymous cowards sniping at her through the media, she can stand up to much worse to come in 2012.
