If Coleman is going to vote with the dems, (Alaska drilling) then let's let Franken and the dems take the blame for higher prices due to no drilling.

The problem for the last two elections has been the public has associated all the economic problems as the fault of Republicans when, in fact, the dems opposition was the true cause.

True. Coleman kept his word about Alaskan drilling. However, he also was one of the lone voices that called for truth in the Oil for Food UN scandal.

Do you honestly think the media will report honestly once all the Republicans are gone?

Perception is reality and the facts are the facts.

Bush has been President for the last eight years and for most of that time the GOP controlled Congress. Aside from tax cuts, on domestic issues Republicans did very little while in power. Very disappointing. For most of that time Republicans were highly negligent in their duties to the people and they totally abandoned the conservative agenda. They allowed spending to increase, deficits to soar and a doubling of the national debt. Bush&Company expanded the federal bureaucracy more than at any time since the Great Society and attempted to shove amnesty down our throats.

Even with all the charges and counter charges and all the finger pointing, Americans decided they wanted to wipe the slate clean. They threw out the bums in 2006 and rejected the GOP standard bearer in 2008 because they rejected President Bush. Those are the historic facts. Like’m or not.
