I have been trying to log on since early this morning. Just got on about 1 hr. ago, then it was as slow as dialup AOL. I have cable.
What is going on? I could get into all other sites in Favorites, but not Free Republic. My browser would not do anything when I clicked on the site. Freaky.

I couldn't access Free Republic when I tried at about 5 or 5:30 pm (EST, Pennsylvania). Finally got lucky about an hour or so ago.
I'd appreciate an explanation from the moderators of what caused the blackout. But, hey, we're back again!
