Interesting. Home-based pirate radio stations.

I like it.

If we’re thinking of samizdat talk-radio webcasts over the Internet, we’ll have to use some sort of “Anonymizer” applications that work through remote proxy servers in order to hide the webcaster’s IP address. There is, of course, “Anonymizer” which is by subscription. There are also free apps like “Tor” and “Privoxy.”

Broadcaster’s may also have to adopt Michael Savage’s practice of moving around to different locations to webcast.

It looks expensive. I have two FM transmitters that plug into the earphone jack on any device, including my computer, and transmit to FM radios.

I have my computer on one floor and listen to the broadcasts on the floor above on a Grundig. I don’t have $10 in either one of these little things.

What does that fancy USB unit cost?
