They’ll have a BIG fight on their hands if they try this!
Two words:
PIRATE RADIO
I think this can be stopped at the SCOTUS.
How can the socialists argue anyone has been harmed here, they just won a landslide victory. There’s no real justification to regulate radio content and control free speech at all. However maybe there is a problem in the MSM that needs to be addressed.
The MSM is a cartel of noncompeting news organizations. That’s the real problem for us.
Why wouldn’t the “fairness Doctrine” also require MSNBC, PBS, etc to also give opposing views?
Same here, anybody know what the problem was?Even the DUmmis were talking about it. (I'm ashamed to say I ventured over there)
Does Country music have to send out 4 hours of Philharmonic stuff for Balance??
Does the TV Media have to provide conservative stuff?
This can be used a number of ways.

Clinton was sworn in on a Bible. It didn't burst into flames, much to my surprise. We'll have to see what happens when zero touches one.
Lol, me too! ALL DAY long without FR, but DU and Kos were still up and running??? I just knew the Fairness Doctrine had already been put into effect, starting with FR. I did pass a little time on a PUMA site, and I Wikipediaed FR...interesting.
Thank God FR is back!
Shortwave radio might be the way to go.
They’ll manage to make it stick only to those who would oppose the Messiah’s agenda.
The chair is against the wall.
The chair is against the wall.
Complying with the Fairness Doctrine would be such a headache for the radio stations that it would be easier for them not to carry either conservative or liberal shows at all. So, they'd be replaced with shows on sports, gardening, food, movies,...
The idea is to silence the conservative voice by silencing everyone's voice on radio, while the libs still have their voice on ABCNNBCBS, NY Times, Washington Post,...
is satellite outside the FCC jurisdiction? I will gladly pay to listen to America Right on Sirius if Rush joins them.
That’s my concern, too. I’m sure “they” have some control over what is broadcast over the satellite bands.
Rush would fight it to the supreme court and win. The FCC cannot place talk radio in the same category as porn.
And, how do you speak out against it if you can’t communicate? I don’t think it is really that farfetched, and the time to be thinking about potential problems is now, before they shut down.
yes they can and I think they will. Decisions are based on politics where politics is involved instead of rule of law.
***Will satellite radio be able to absorb Rush, Hannity, Levin, Ingraham, and Savage?***
I imagine they’d get huge amounts of money for hosting them should they have to. That’s also the reason I’d get satellite radio.
He’s saying conservative talk will move to satellite radio. Sirius already has a conservative talk channel (right next to the liberal channel) but I haven’t listened to it, so I don’t know how good the hosts are.
Limbaugh on Sirius would instantly save that company.
